Under the auspices of C-100’s Educational Exchange program, the Committee served as a Strategic Partner with Columbia Business School and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business to host the Third Annual Global Business Strategy: China Forum (GBSCF) at Columbia University’s Low Library in New York City on August 10. The Forum engages executives to explore opportunities, strategies, and perspectives necessary to be successful in the U.S. and China markets. It featured two keynote addresses and two panel discussions with an estimated attendance of 200 chief executives from China and the United States.
The Forum’s business keynote speaker, Werner Geissler, Vice Chairman of Global Operations at the Procter & Gamble Company, mapped out the essentials of managing the economic downturn with a confident outlook.
VIP Luncheon attendees Baohong Sun, Werner Geissler, and Marco Mattiacci peruse C-100’s 2012 Opinion Survey during Executive Director Angie Tang’s presentation on key survey findings.
The Forum included two panels, “Managing through the Downturn” and “Consumer Market: Opportunities and Challenges in the East and the West.” Notable panel speakers were: Jack Perkowski, Founder and Managing Partner of JFP Holdings; Marco Mattiaacci, President and CEO of Ferrari North America; and Xuanning Zhang, President and Director of Yonghui Superstores Co., Ltd.
C-100 member Henry Tang and Executive Director Angie Tang participated in the Forum.
