Chairman John Chen made a personal contribution to the Foundation and sent a letter of greetings that was read to the gathering by AIISF board president Buck Gee: “On behalf of the Committee of 100, I greatly appreciate the work you and AIISF have been so committed to pursuing. The Committee of 100 shares your goal of promoting a greater understanding of the Chinese American population and its role in shaping America. I sincerely hope that with your continued efforts, Angel Island and the Immigration Station will continue to open their doors to the public.”
Ming Chen Hsu and Jeffery Lee are AIISF board members. Hsu hosted a table with guests Lee, Daniel Chao and Dennis Wu and their spouses, Doreen Woo Ho, George Koo, and Stewart Kwoh.
