The innovative Leadership and Mentoring Program inaugurated by Southern California C-100 members last year is in the midst of its second six-month session. Since November 2011, nine dedicated Committee members have been conducting one-on-one mentoring sessions with 16 young professionals. Each mentee also takes on a volunteer assignment with C-100, for example assisting at the upcoming Annual Conference in Los Angeles.
On February 4, mentees and mentors gathered together for lunch and discussion, with presentations by Committee Chairman Dominic Ng and California State Controller John Chiang. Stewart Kwoh, Southern California Vice Chair, introduced the program.
In addition to Chiang and Kwoh, the mentors are Julie Fong, Herman Li, Shu Li, Paul C. Lin, Brian Sun, Charlie Woo, Janet Yang, and Teddy Zee.
