On May 14, the Caltech is presenting its Distinguished Alumni Award to Albert Y.C. Yu (BS, Engineering, 1963). Before he retired in 2002, Yu was Senior Vice President, General Manager and member of the Corporate Management Committee at Intel, with his contributions to management and corporate strategy contributing to making Intel the largest semiconductor company in the world. Through his company, OneAngstrom LLC, Yu invests in and mentors high-tech companies. For his alma mater, Yu is an affiliate of Caltech's Information Science and Technology Advisory Board, and he is a consulting professor at Stanford University, where he received his master’s and doctorate degrees.
