Our 18th Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., highlights encouraging prospects ahead as we celebrate an unprecedented number of Asian Americans in the Obama Administration and learn about new initiatives for Sino-American cooperation on the most serious problems of our times.
Check the conference website frequently to get the newest agenda, as speakers are confirmed. http://conference.committee100.org/2009
Among the speakers now confirmed is Chris Lu, Cabinet Secretary, in the role of liaison between the Cabinet and the White House. Lu was the first Asian American appointed to the Obama Cabinet and Obama’s Harvard classmate and campaign advisor. He will be speaking on Asian Pacific Americans in public service. We anticipate that other high-level Asian Americans serving in the Administration will accept our invitations to participate in the conference.
